Schooners Socks
by Isela Phelps

Self-striping yarn for socks is the latest rave in the knitting community. KnitPicks has introduced an entire new line of self-striping sock yarns--one of the colorways is sure to attrack your eye.

The Schooners have an easy slipped stitch modified ribbed pattern that allows the beauty of the yarn to come out but the modified ribbed gives it enough interest to make the pattern a fun knit.

Toe Shaping

Repeat Heel Instructions

Bind Off: After the heel instructions have been repeated on the toe area, the toe is ready to be closed.
Place half of the stitches on a dpn (1-32) and the other half on a second dpn (33-64).
Cut the working yarn leaving a long tail to use to close the toe area. Use the kitchener stitch to close the toe.

Finishing: Weave all yarn tail ends. Block lightly.
