Loom Knitters Circle was created by loom knitters Isela Phelps and Denise Layman with the web-designing expertise of Cynthia Frenette, whom we owe our "look and feel", thank you Cynthia, our site is beautiful!

Isela and Denise have been loom knitting for a few years. In their spare time they like to sleep and that is usually between 2am and 5am, during the daylight hours, they are either loom knitting, knitting with needles, or chasing children around the house, while dinner most likely burns on the stove!

Isela and Denise have known each other for few years now, they first met online through one of the online loom knitting communities, then in 2006, they had a chance to meet at Rhinebeck Fiber Festival, two knitters with one goal in mind—yarn acquisition! They had a great time searching for yarn and other fibery related goodies and then at the end of the day, they and their families sat down to share a meal. That day, a bond of sorts was formed, a friendship grounded in our love for loom knitting and knitting in general.

Denise lives in Ohio and Isela resides in Utah but with the help of instant messaging, they keep in touch and try to put a few projects together, their latest--this magazine for loom knitters around the world.

It is the joke between the two of them that one has a brain and the other has the mouth, one is on the border of lunacy and the other talks non-stop, but together they make the perfect pair of loomies to spearhead this new venture. One is the purl stitch an the other the knit stitch, one without the other can make a pretty boring fabric that doesn't stay put, but together, you will find a nice textured fabric!
